Trump reveals his true feelings about Elon Musk

Last week, the news cycle was dominated by the news that Donald Trump and Elon Musk had a huge falling out.

Now, after shunning a call to mend the fence with Elon Musk, Donald Trump is revealing his “true” feelings about Musk.

White House Staffer Stokes Divide

Reports broke last week that there has been regular tension between Sergio Gor, Trump’s director of presidential personnel, who also reportedly sabotaged Musk’s ally in terms of being appointed the head of NASA.

It was Gor who dug into Jared Isaacman to learn that he had donated to Democrats in the past, including a 2021 $100,000 donation to a PAC affiliated with Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

Musk had been highly critical of Gor regarding how long it was taking to staff the administration, having also described Gor as “sleazy.”

When Tesla stock crashed, Gor reportedly ran around the White House rejoicing, with one source describing it, “He was bragging to other people that he was going to get one last shot at Elon out the door. He was going to get Elon back for making him look bad.”

Musk Allegedly Hit Cabinet Member During Meeting

As generally happens after a falling out, the stories start to surface to take out the person who Trump just dropped from his inner circle, and Elon Musk is not immune to it.

Over the weekend, a report surfaced that Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had a physical altercation during a meeting, with witnesses describing Musk hitting Bessent like a “rugby player.”

Witnesses stated that Bessent started to hit Musk back, then staffers stepped in to separate the two men.

The altercation reportedly took place over a recommendation for a position, with Trump selecting Bessent’s recommendation over that of Musk.

Trump True Feelings

Donald Trump has made it quite clear that as far as he is concerned, his relationship with Musk is over, saying that Musk had lost it and gone too far. Trump has since threatened to cancel Musk’s government contracts as well as warning Musk that there would be dire consequences if Musk decides to start backing Democrats.

When Trump was asked about Musk criticizing the spending bill, he pushed back on that as well, saying that Musk knew the bill as well as anyone in the administration. Adding, “The bill is great. It’s going to pass, but the bill is great, and it’s going be great for everybody, including him. And you see it now. And take a look at what happened today with the job numbers. They’re through the roof, and the stock market’s up already 600 points.”

When Congressional Republicans were asked if they were being ordered to attack Musk, one aide responded, “The White House hasn’t asked us to take any shots at Musk or to defend Trump — ‘Go after Elon, he’s a traitor.’” The aided added, “We revolve around Trump.”

We all know that once Trump makes up his mind about someone, regardless of what they have done for him in the past, his mind is made up, which means Elon is now on the outside looking in. People have disagreements, but I think Trump is making a huge mistake by shunning Musk and the party will suffer considerably when it loses Musk’s financial support in the upcoming election cycle.
