Dems boycotting hearings on Biden’s mental decline

One would think that Democrats would be licking their chops at the opportunity to defend Biden’s mental decline, a narrative Dems say the GOP just made up.  

Well, they had their chance, but they chose to boycott rather than defend.  

Original Sin 

When “Original Sin” came out, it was like a nuclear bomb going off.  

I read the book, and while I learned very little new about Biden’s mental decline, it did wrap up the story we were all writing for the last three years into one neat little package.  

As I have stated before, had that reporting been done in real time, it would have been exceptional. 

To me, all Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson did with the publication of this book was to openly admit they did not do their jobs when Biden was in office.  

Let’s Hold a Hearing 

Senate Republicans decided to investigate Biden’s mental decline, as if a hearing would get Biden officials to come clean on the record.  

Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) was among those involved, stating, “We simply cannot ignore what transpired because President Biden is no longer in office.” 

Now, I agree, but what do they expect to uncover that we don’t already know, and more importantly, what are they going to do about it? 

Will charges be filed? Will someone be held accountable for the cover-up that we all know took place? Or will this just be something else to add to the taxpayer bill? I want answers, but I also want accountability.  

Democrat Boycott 

As noted above, I really thought Democrats would take this opportunity to defend Biden, but they just chose to boycott the hearings outright.  

Senator Tex Cruz (R-TX) hit Dems for not showing up, stating, “Not a single Democrat is here today because not a single one of them gives a damn about the fact that they lied to the American people for four years. 

“They knew. Every one of them knew that Joe Biden was mentally not competent to do the job. And they’re not here because they can’t defend themselves.” 

This should be about finding out who was calling the shots and who was using that autopen. We already know Biden is an empty vessel, so how about appointing a private commission to truly investigate this and find out if we need to go after someone for treason rather than showboating during a useless congressional hearing?
