Dems want new leadership and new issues

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has been calling the shots for Democrats in the Senate for years. And while Speaker Emerita Pelosi (D-CA) is no longer the Speaker, she is clearly still calling the shots.  

Well, voters have not only had enough of their leadership, but they are also tired of the lines that Dems are drawing in the sand.  

No New Ideas 

The change started to happen in the party when David Hogg ran for vice chair of the DNC.  

Hogg never hid his agenda about pushing ineffective Democrats out of office, but I believe the elite were so enamored by his name, they figured they could get him to change his agenda if elected.  

Well, Hogg won, and he did not change his agenda, and now he has been pushed out.  

Democrats called for a redo on the DNC leadership elections, but only for his position, in the name of DEI. Hogg then announced that he would not run for office, as the writing on the wall was crystal clear.  

In Chaos 

Voters are responding to the lack of change in the DNC, and not in a good way.  

Reports surfaced this week that the DNC is in horrific financial shape, to the point it may need to take out loans.  

Rufus Gifford, who served as the finance chairman of Kamala Harris’s 2024 campaign, explained, “What they are seeing is headline after headline of incompetence and infighting, and I think that is a real problem not just for the D.N.C. but for the larger Democratic brand. 

“We need to come together and focus on the issues at hand. That’s got to happen now. And I mean today. And if that can’t happen, we need to shift course.” 

We Don’t Agree 

A new poll showed that the likely reason behind all of this is that voters no longer support current leadership, and they want the Dems to focus on new issues rather than pounding the transgender issue.  

The Reuters/Ipsos survey crushed current leadership, with 62% wanting to see change, which is a number that should terrify Schumer and Pelosi, not to mention the likes of Kamala Harris.  

The poll also found that a mere 17% considered the issue of transgenders in women’s sport a top priority of the party, yet this is a hill that Democrats have chosen to die on.  

You guys are probably sick and tired of hearing me say we elect representation in this country, not leaders, but far too many elected officials forget that, which is why I always bring it up. Here is the thing, though... when they try to push their agenda instead of ours, we need to hold them accountable, and we do that by voting them out of office, something Democrats and far too many conservatives fail to ever do.
