Rep. Crockett drops out of leadership race

It would appear that at least some of the Dems in office are getting the memo that they need to do something more than hate on Trump if they want to win back American voters.  

I say this because Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has just dropped out of the race for ranking member on the House Oversight Committee.  

"I’m running"

In early June, Crockett announced her intention to enter leadership within the Democrat Party.  

She stated, “In this moment, Americans are demanding a more strategic, aggressive, and energetic fight. Understanding that fierce urgency, I formally announce my candidacy for Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform—with a focus on standing up for American families, defending the Constitution and the rule of law, and ensuring the government serves the people, not the privileged few.” 

Her announcement continued, “Our country is in an existential crisis driven by an out-of-control Executive with a flagrant disregard for our Constitution, our way of governance, and our very way of life as citizens of a democratic republic.  

“The Administration has refused to respect congressional authority, abide by lawful judicial orders, or respond to public outrage. The magnitude of these unprecedented times warrants a resistance and tactics never before seen. We must pull back the curtain on the unmitigated chaos under Trump 2.0 and translate our findings to the American people in a way they can digest.”   

No legislation 

I truly believe that most reasonable Americans are exhausted by this childish behavior and obsession that Democrats have with impeaching Trump.  

The people of this country want to see meaningful legislation passed, and they want our debt to get under control, but Crockett openly admitted she had only one interest, and that was investigating Trump.  

On this subject she stated, "I would absolutely. At least do an inquiry. Absolutely. I mean, I think that there's more than enough to inquire about. You know, we know. Well, we don't know." 

She later added, "Once we get to the majority, which I'm hoping and praying we get to, next cycle, that allows me to start to open up and do the things that would look like an impeachment." 

Dropping Out 

Crockett has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with this new act of hers, speaking loudly, cursing, interrupting, etc., and it is not playing well.  

She is not getting anywhere near the support she would need to become a ranking member, so she is now pulling out of the race.  

She stated, "It was clear by the numbers that my style of leadership is not exactly what they were looking for, and so I didn't think that it was fair for me to then push forward and try to rebuke that.” 

Crockett had a promising future when she first entered Texas politics, but she has since transformed herself into an invented personality of some tough girl from the hood, and while it plays well on social media, the party does not like it, and most voters do not like it, but it is all about clicks and likes, so as long as her social media followers love it, she will continue to waste our time and money with these ridiculous stunts.
