Comer looking to have Karine Jean-Pierre testify

Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was among the biggest supporters of Joe Biden after the debate, insisting that nothing was wrong with Joe.

Now, however, Rep. Comer (R-KY) wants to get her under oath to make those claims, reportedly asking her to come in to speak with the House Oversight Committee for its hearings on Joe Biden’s mental decline.

Sharp as Ever

Nobody doubted Biden’s mental acuity more than Jean-Pierre when she was in office, often literally laughing at reporters when they dared to question Biden’s mental health.

For instance, after the presidential debate, when Dems started to panic and push Biden out of the primary, she stated, “I see a president when I’m sitting in front of him, going through the day or talking about what he’s doing next.

“He is someone that engages with us. He wants wants to know, he pushes us, he prods us — wanting to figure out like the bigger picture of whatever we’re trying to explain to him, or even granule details.”

She later added, “He is as sharp as ever, as I have known him to be in my engagement, in my experience with him. And I know when I walk into the Oval Office or or see him on Air Force One, I have to be on top of my game.”

Going Scorched Earth

Almost as soon as the Biden administration left the White House, KJP announced that she was leaving the Democrat Party. She was also writing a book about the final months of the Biden administration and how Democrats forced Joe out of office.

While I never thought her book would be a true tell-all, Dems were terrified of what she might say, and they went scorched earth on her. After all, this was the woman pushing Biden on the country, sticking up for his agenda, and now she was going to leave the party.

My impression was that she did not like how Dems treated her boss, but the Dems took it to be that she was going to push Biden right under the bus.

To that point, after she made her announcement, Axios reported that a former Biden official stated, "The hubris of thinking you can position yourself as an outsider when you not only have enjoyed the perks of extreme proximity to power — which ... bestows the name recognition needed to sell books off your name — but have actively wielded it from the biggest pulpit there is, is as breathtaking as it is desperate ... It's difficult to see how this is anything but a bizarre cash grab."

Come on Down

On Friday, the House Oversight Committee reached out to Jean-Pierre to ask her to come before the Committee to face questions on Biden’s mental decline.

Some officials have already come in to talk to the Committee, but Anthony Bernal, Jill Biden’s right-hand, has refused, resulting in the Committee seeking a subpoena to bring him in and have him testify under oath.

Chairman James Comer (R-KY) stated, “They fed these false talking points to progressive allies and the media, who helped perpetuate that President Biden was fit to serve. As part of our aggressive investigation into the cover-up of his cognitive decline and potentially unauthorized executive actions, we must hear from the those who aided and abetted this farce.”

Generally speaking, these hearings are a complete waste of time, but this one has my attention solely to get these people under oath to say that Biden was fine. At some point, the truth will come out, and when it does, every one of them should be held accountable for lying to the American people for at least two years, if not three or four (I believe Biden was already slipping during the 2020 campaign). Unfortunately, they cannot be charged for lying to the American people, but they can be charged for lying under oath to Congress.
