Joy Reid melts down over Trump's Iran nuclear site bombing
The reaction from the left over the strike against Iran is almost surreal.
We are now to the point that people on the left are defending Iran having a nuclear bomb, even stating that it could be Iran as the voice of reason to keep peace in the Middle East.
Better than America
I have heard the ladies on “The View” say some utterly ridiculous things, but nothing beats what Whoopi Goldberg stated when comparing the United States to Iran.
In a delusional rant, she stated, “Let’s not do that, because if we start with that, we have been known in this country to tie gay folks to the car. Listen, I’m sorry, they used to just keep hanging black people.”
Dr. Sheila Nazarian, an Iranian dissident, put that argument right down, stating, “Whoopi Goldberg’s comparison between being black in America and living under Iran’s authoritarian regime is deeply misguided and dismisses the brutal realities faced by millions of Iranians.”
Is the United States perfect? Of course not, but we have arguably evolved quicker and better than any country in existence. Not only that, but one could make the argument that it was the United States that sparked the end of global slavery as a practice, so Whoopi’s comments are way off base.
Hollywood unhinged
I just read an X post by John Cusack, who I like as an actor and despise as a person.
Cusack wrote, “Iran will surely rush to get a nuclear weapon-and they should get one -- it’s the only way to deter US and Israel from bombing every country in Middle East.”
So, first, Mr. Cusack, Iran is a terrorist state, and I can guarantee you that a nuclear weapon would not be used as a deterrent if they had one. It would be another tool to wield terror throughout the Middle East.
This is borderline treason, and I think if that is truly the way he feels, perhaps he should be relocating to Iran before he shoots his mouth off.
What did she just say?
Finally, we have our friend Joy Reid, who lost her show because of poor ratings, and is now relegated to panel discussions as a contributor.
Reid is probably where Cusack got his idea, as she stated, "The bottom line here is the way that we know that Iran did not have nuclear weapons is that if they had nuclear weapons, Israel would not attack them."
Reid continued, “The reason they’re trying to get nukes, and probably Saudi Arabia is trying to get them, is because an expansionist power in their region keeps threatening them and actually bombs them.”
Iran sponsors every major terror organization in the Middle East, so what makes her think it would use a nuclear weapon to maintain peace? Now, I am all for free speech, but I am also for being held accountable for what you say. How can networks allow this woman to go on air spewing such falsehoods and rhetoric? So, I say it again... now we know why so few people trust the mainstream media today.
