Jayapal doubles down on ICE attacks

SQUAD members have been trying to end ICE since they came into office, with AOC leading the charge.

Secretary Noem recently announced that attacks against agents were up to a 700% increase, likely due to the rhetoric and actions of Democrats.

Democrats, however, continue to apply pressure, with Rep. Jayapal (D-WA) equating them to terrorists.

Dissolve the Agency

AOC believes that ICE is illegal and never should have been permitted to form in the first place.

Dating back to July 2019, she stated, "I feel like we are, at a very, it's a very qualified and supported position, at least in terms of evidence, and in terms of being able to make the argument that we never should've created DHS in the early 2000s.”

More recently, AOC has used her attacks against ICE to drive fundraising.

Other Dems have doxed ICE agents, and the Gestapo references are now an everyday occurrence.

Jayapal Called Out

Jayapal has been going off on ice, likening them to a terrorist organization, a new twist by Democrats.

Acting ICE Director Todd M. Lyons did not take kindly to her comments, responding, “An actual Antifa terrorist tried to blow up ICE’s Northwest Processing Center in Rep. Jayapal’s home state of Washington in 2019. At the time, she tried to blame the violent attack on rhetoric from the right, in defense of an actual terrorist who tried to murder detainees and employees alike!

“Now, she labels ICE officers enforcing immigration law set by Congress ‘terrorists.’ This, at a time when officers are facing a nearly 700% increase in assaults, in part due to the type of rhetoric she spews.

"Never in a million years did I think I would witness a sitting member of Congress prioritize regard for violent criminals over the law enforcement officers protecting her community from actual public safety threats. The only apology needed is from the congresswoman to the people who voted for her.”

Not Backing Down

White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson also responded to Jayapal’s comments, stating, "Jayapal’s disgusting comments warrant an immediate apology. Heroic ICE officers are simply doing their jobs and enforcing federal immigration law, with the utmost professionalism."

Jayapal then doubled down, responding, "What is deranged and cruel and outrageous is that, literally, we are seeing ICE agents, I assume they‘re ICE agents. They say they are. They don‘t have any identification. They‘re wearing masks. They‘re in plain clothes. They are coming and kidnapping and disappearing people on the streets of the United States.

"I never in a million years thought that that is something that I would see here in America. And so I think it is the administration that has to apologize to U.S. citizens that have been rounded up to legal, permanent residents, to people with legal statuses across the country who are getting swept up, people who have been here for 20 years and committed no crimes, getting swept up by masked men who are kidnaping them and deporting them."

Dems may not like it, but this is all a product of the Biden administration opening up four borders for four years. These men and women are doing their jobs... rounding up people who broke the law to enter this country. Never in a million years did I think I would see an entire political party toss our Constitution out the window and advocate for people blatantly breaking the law to enter this country. They are literally advocating for criminals, thugs, cartel members, and terrorists over the welfare of the American people.
