Trump defends Bondi to amazement of MAGA
The Epstein client list has created a bit of a problem for the Trump administration.
They ran on transparency, but when the DOJ and FBI announced there was no list, MAGA erupted, choosing to take it all out on Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Trump has finally backed Bondi, but MAGA is not happy about it at all.
No list
Last week, MAGA was stunned when Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel announced that they had reviewed the Epstein files and there was no client list.
This came after Bondi had stated during a previous interview that she had the list on her desk.
Bondi later tried to clarify that she had the Epstein files on her desk for review, not specifically a client list, but MAGA did not want to hear about it.
Rumors over the weekend that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino was considering resigning over this mess did not make things better for Bondi. Now the heat is really getting turned up, as MAGA would prefer Bondi go over Bongino.
Carlson says Bondi deserves scrutiny
Tucker Carlon has really flipped a switch as of late, and now he is getting everyone really riled up about Bondi, saying she created this mess, and now she should suffer the consequences.
Carlson says he does not believe the DOJ has much information on Epstein, and “Rather than just admit that, Pam Bondi made a bunch of ludicrous claims on cable news shows that she couldn’t back up, and this current outrage is the result.”
I am kind of in the middle on this one, as I believe the government has substantial information on Epstein; otherwise, he would not have been arrested, and Ghislaine Maxwell surely would not have been convicted.
I am convinced that the decision was made, far above Bondi’s level, to bury the files rather than risk a literal government collapse due to the names that were involved with Epstein. Now, I am about as far from a conspiracy theorist as one could be, but this is something I have believed for quite some time.
Trump defends Bondi
If the order was given, it was likely given by Trump himself. After all, Trump was one of the people touting the release of the files, but now everything is being hushed up, so he had to know something.
Now, some rather influential MAGA members are calling out the administration, including General Michael Flynn (ret), Glenn Beck, and Charlie Kirk. This has forced Trump to come forward, stating, "What's going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?' They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB. We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening."
Trump later added, "LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB – SHE’S GREAT! The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 – That’s what she is looking into as AG, and much more. One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World. Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about."
Trump is wrong, though, because a lot of people, more specifically MAGA people, do care about the Epstein files. Now, Kirk has been a good little doggie and has since stood down, saying he trusts his friends, even citing Bondi as one of them, so we will have to see who else decides to back off this stance. Carlson did get one thing right, though… Trump and his surrogates have been getting people riled up about this for years, and now they produced a big nothing burger. I can’t blame people for being upset.
