Suspicious device detonated at TPUSA event location

The assassination of Charlie Kirk stunned the entire nation, but it seems to have ignited the radical left in this country. Kirk’s widow announced that Charlie’s tour would continue, suing big-name conservatives to fill in for him.

That apparently did not sit well with the left, as there was a bomb scare in Utah, where Kirk was killed, at the first scheduled event since Charlie’s death.

"We will go on"

One of the most courageous speeches I have ever seen was Kirk’s widow, telling the country that Turning Point USA’s mission would continue, just as Charlie would want.

Erika Kirk stated, “The evildoers responsible for my husband’s assassination have no idea what they have done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith and of God’s merciful love.

“If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea.

“You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world. You have no idea. You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.”

Lining up

She was right, as high-profile conservatives could not wait to fill in for Charlie to keep TPUSA rolling.

The organization announced a new slate of events, and the speakers were the who’s who of the conservative world.

For instance, among the featured speakers were Glenn Beck, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), Jason Chaffetz, and Rob Scheider, just to name a few.

Megyn Kelly also filled in for Charlie, obliterating audience members who came to argue but forgot to bring their facts with them. These people are on a mission, so anyone stepping up to the microphone had better be ready for battle.

A scare

While the first few events went off without a hitch, the first Utah event had another incident, as the bomb squad was called in after a suspicious device was located.

Utah State University announced, “A suspicious device was found near the exterior of Old Main. University and local law enforcement were dispatched to the scene. A device was located and deemed to be a non-explosive device.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the bomb squad detonated the suspicious device. Old Main building is now clear and safe. All scheduled events may resume as normal.”

Security has obviously been stepped up at these events, with numerous new protocols being put in place to prevent any attacks from taking place during the event. It’s sad, really, that it has come to this when all they are trying to do is have a civil debate that will benefit both sides of the aisle.
