Trump plans massive layoffs amid shutdown

Since the clock started ticking on the shutdown, I had stated that I thought Trump wanted the shutdown.

As it got closer, Trump admitted that he would allow the shutdown to take place rather than cave to Democrat demands.

Now, Trump’s real reason for wanting to see the shutdown take place has been revealed, and Democrats are going to lose their collective minds.

Not Backing Down

For now, Democrats are holding firm, but they may want to reconsider that with how polling on the subject is going right now.

Even Democrats are split on how they feel about it, so this is not really working out well for the Democrat Party.

Jeffries was asked about Trump’s plans, and he more or less stated that the shutdown makes no difference, as Trump has already started to carry out his agenda. He stated, “These are all things that the Trump administration has been doing since Jan. 20.”

Jeffries continued, “The mass firings of federal workers -- the Trump administration has been engaging in this since Jan. 20. Targeting the green-energy economy -- Republicans have been doing that since Jan. 20.”

Big Opportunity

After the shutdown started, Trump was giddy on Truth Social.

He posted, "I can’t believe the Radical Left Democrats gave me this unprecedented opportunity. They are not stupid people, so maybe this is their way of wanting to, quietly and quickly, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

The administration then revealed that there are going to be some big changes in government staffing that will start to take place almost immediately.

Trump has not hidden the fact that if there were a shutdown, he would use it to reduce the overall size of government agencies, yet Democrats let it happen. It will only take a few days for Trump to get this organized, and the administration just announced its plans to carry this out as soon as possible.

Get Rid of Them

On Thursday, Trump met with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russ Vought, who then later held a call with Republicans to explain that mass layoffs were about to take place.

According to the report, this is only a day or two out, so now the clock is really ticking for Democrats.

Trump wants to lay off thousands of workers to shrink the government payroll, but I can guarantee you that this will be fought by Democrats and activist groups.

That will not stop Trump, though, as we have learned before, the man is willing to push the envelope on just how much power he has as president.
