‘No King’s protests erupt around country to protest Trump

I was coming home from my usual Saturday morning golf outing when we drove past a group of people with purple and green hair and nose piercings that were standing on the corner in Flower Mound, TX, holding up “NO Kings” protest signs.

My friend asked me what that was, and I informed it was “No King’s” day for liberals, a nationwide protest against Trump, as the left believes he is acting like a king instead of a president.

We saluted the group properly, then I went home and started to go down the rabbit hole to see how this all panned out, and it was quite interesting, to say the least.

The Meltdown

The comments by protesters were rather amusing, as I felt like I was listening to Democrat fundraising emails.

One protester, when asked why he was out there, stated, "Because I'm an American, and I learned from history, unlike a lot of other people in this country. History repeats itself.

"People don't seem to understand that, and we're going down a slippery slope, probably halfway down there already. And if we don't stand up and protest and expand our message across America, we'll be just another one of what Trump called the s---hole countries. That's where he's leading us."

Another stated, "We have a fascist government in America abetted by a fascist media. And people need to have their voices be heard. There's this idea that somehow that Trump stands for America. He stands for nothing like that. He stands for hate. He stands for everything against the Constitution, everything our values are built upon, and he stands for himself and his friends and not for the great American people."

Republicans Blast Protesters

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) discussed the protests, stating, "It'll be a collection of wild leftist policy priorities, and that'll be on display for the whole country. After that's over, I hope there's a few Democrats over here who will come to their senses and return to governing the country.

"Right now, I don't think — it's my assumption and all of ours that they would not make that concession before that rally's over because they don't want to face the angry mob. I mean it's sad, but that's where we are."

Rep. Zach Nunn (R-IA) added, "My guess is if they don't want a primary from the left, they'll probably find a way to sneak it into their schedule. The real question that's going to be is, do they have the fortitude after Saturday to come back and open up the government?"

Many believe that the Democrats did not want to make any deal on the shutdown until after these protests had nationwide coverage. Based on the comments I read from Democrats, it sure seems like Johnson hit the nail on the head here.

Phil Mickelson

PGA golfer Phil Mickelson has been fun to follow over the last few years, as he has landed some subtle jabs over these ridiculous protests, and he just did it again.

Mickelson posted, “On this special day as we all gather to fight against blanket auto pen pardons and executive orders, lawlessness, and stealing citizen’s resources for illegal non citizens, I believe it has worked!! That is no longer happening so great job everyone.”

The number of celebrities who have openly backed Trump is rather slim out of fear of being canceled. We see it time and again, as well as people who have supported Trump’s policies in the past suddenly coming out to apologize for daring to approve of something the bad orange man has done, but Mickelson has stood firm.

Personally, when you see the people supporting these protests, it only makes the case for what Trump is doing stronger. These are clearly people that never make it past the headline of any article, and they feed on Democrat rhetoric like someone who has been deprived of food for months. This entire movement is a complete and utter joke.
