Crockett doubles down on Epstein comments

As a member of Congress, you should be setting an example and telling the truth to the American people all the time.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), however, just grabbed some headlines with a bunch of misinformation.

Then, when she got caught, she offered up one of the lamest excuses I have ever heard.

Taking Epstein Money

Crockett gave a speech on the floor in defense of a fellow Democrat who had been receiving texts from Jeffrey Epstein about Donald Trump during a hearing.

She stated, “Folks show also took from somebody named Jeffrey Epstein, as I had my team dig into very quickly, Mitt Romney, the NRCC, Lee Zeldin, George Bush, WinRed McCain-Palin, and Rick Lazio.”

And she is right. They all took money from Jeffrey Epstein, just not “the” Jeffrey Epstein.

She was immediately called out by some of the people whom she tried to link to the pedophile.

Calling Out Crockett

Former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) was in that long list, and he quickly took exception to her statements.

He stated, "Yes Crockett, a physician named Dr. Jeffrey Epstein (who is a totally different person than the other Jeffrey Epstein) donated to a prior campaign of mine. NO [clap emoji] FREAKIN [clap emoji] RELATION [clap emoji] YOU [clap emoji] GENIUS!!!"

Meghan McCain also responded, stating, My Dad has been dead 7 years @RepJasmine. He never met Jeffrey Epstein, let alone took money from him. The Jeffrey Epstein you are referencing is an entirely different human being. Do you have mashed potatoes for brains, you absolute joke?!”

If you asked me, she knew she was making it all up, but she chose to go for the drama, and that was pretty much backed up by her lame excuse when she was called out by the mainstream media.

I Don’t Lie

CNN’s Kaitlin Collins gave Crockett the opportunity to set the record straight, but it was all spin.

When asked about Zeldin’s comments, she defended herself, stating, “Listen, I never said that it was that Jeffrey Epstein. Just so that people understand, when you make a donation, your picture is not there. And because they decided to spring this on us, in real time, I wanted the Republicans to think about what could potentially happen, because I knew that they didn’t even try to go through the [Federal Election Commission].”

The Democrat continued, “So my team, what they did is they Googled, and that is specifically why I said a Jeffrey Epstein. Unlike Republicans, I at least don’t go out and just tell lies. Because it was not the same one? That’s fine. But when Lee Zeldin had something to say, all he had to say was, it was a different Jeffrey Epstein. He admitted that he did receive donations from a Jeffrey Epstein. So, at least I wasn’t trying to mislead people … I literally had maybe 20 minutes before I had to do that debate.”

She wasn’t trying to mislead people? She used the name Jeffrey Epstein in a debate about a fellow member who had been linked to the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and she was not trying to mislead people. If that were a Republican, Collins would have torn into her. Sadly, Crockett is the future of the Democrat Party, so this type of nonsense is not going to go away anytime soon.
