National Guard members shot in Washington D.C. have been identified

This is usually a week where everyone is having fun, watching football, and stuffing their faces full of turkey.

Sadly, two families are just hoping their family members make it home after a horrific shooting took place in DC, where two National Guard members were ambushed.

They have now been identified as 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom and 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe.

The Rhetoric

There is simply no way I will ever believe that the attacks that took place were not related to the dangerous rhetoric Democrats have been spewing about the National Guard and ICE.

This result, to me, is what Democrats wanted to happen, and one need only see the rhetoric they are tossing around today as being proof of that.

For example, various Democrats have called this a “textbook authoritarian” move, an “invasion,” and Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) said the troops made her “incredibly nervous,” adding that she was scared they would “shoot at American civilians.”

They were saying these things to trigger people, in my opinion, and it has repeatedly worked, as we have seen a huge rise in attacks against ICE agents, and now these attacks against National Guard members.

They’ve Been Hit

The Guard members have been positioned in various areas around the city to ensure the safety of residents, but it was the Guard who found itself under attack on Wednesday.

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro also announced that Rahmanullah Lakanwal, the alleged shooter, drove all the way across the country from Washington for the purpose of attacking active Guard members who had been deployed in DC.

He reportedly opened fire on one of them, striking them, then concentrated his efforts on the second Guard member before other Guard members were able to subdue him and take him into custody.

I have already seen Democrats blaming this on Trump, and I have seen others saying that Trump was not doing enough to keep the Guard safe. First, the Guard was there to keep citizens safe. Second, perhaps this man would not have been inspired to attack the Guard if Democrats were not making them out to be Nazis in the streets of DC.

He Worked with Our Government

As if this report was not already bad enough, we have since learned that the alleged shooter had worked with the CIA in Afghanistan and was brought into this country via Joe Biden’s resettlement program after the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Now, if you recall, there were questions about the vetting process at the time regarding these refugees, and there are now officials saying this man never should have been permitted to work with the CIA, let alone allowed to enter this country.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe announced, "In the wake of the disastrous Biden withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden administration justified bringing the alleged shooter to the United States in September 2021 due to his prior work with the U.S. government, including CIA, as a member of a partner force in Kandahar, which ended shortly following the chaotic evacuation.”

This never should have happened. And if these Guard members die, that blood is on the hands of Joe Biden and his administration officials who allowed this to happen.
