ICE agents needed support from NYPD after being surrounded by violent leftists

Over the last year, the attacks against ICE agents have been out of control.

We have seen them ambushed in several cities, and we have also seen judges set some of these assailants free.

ICE agents in New York needed the NYPD to bail them out after a crowd gathered when word spread of a raid in the city.

Wave of Attacks

Something we saw trending in recent months is the car attacks against agents.

For instance, in a Chicago suburb, agents were surrounded by cars, with at least one car ramming their vehicles. This resulted in agents shooting one of the suspects.

Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin explained, "Since January 20, there have been 99 vehicle attacks against DHS law enforcement, a 1,000% increase in assaults against them, and an 8,000% increase in death threats to ICE officers.

“Make no mistake: The uptick in these kinds of attacks is being fueled by the constant demonization of ICE and CBP officers by Democrat politicians. They need to knock it off before they get one of our officers killed."

Charges Dismissed

In one of the alleged assaults, the incident where they were ambushed in Chicago, and agents shot one of the alleged attackers, the judge dismissed the charges with prejudice, so no charges can be brought against them in the future.

The charges dismissed included the woman who was shot by agents in an apparent act of self-defense. The agents alleged that Marimar Martinez was "armed with a semi-automatic weapon,” which is why they fired on her, as well as her being the driver of one of the vehicles.

Martinez’s attorney, Christopher Parente, stated, "When I watched the video after this agent says, 'Do something, b----,' I see the driver of this vehicle turn the wheel to the left. Which would be consistent with him running into Ms. Martinez’s vehicle, okay. And then seconds later, he jumps out and just starts shooting."

The incident is still clearly bad, but if agents exaggerated what happened, and they were the aggressors, the Trump administration is going to get roasted. It is incidents such as this that are turning some voters against the administration over the course of this deportation push.

Big Clash in NYC

A scene played out in New York City this weekend that we have seen far too many times since Trump took office.

There were hundreds of anti-ICE protesters gathered when they found out ICE was doing immigration raids in the city. Chants of “ICE out of New York! ICE out now,” were yelled by the protesters, and it got to the point that the NYPD had to intervene on behalf of the agents.

One of the protestors stated, “There were people climbing up trying to see who ICE had inside. They were arresting people for no reason.”

I fully support these raids, but ICE had to be perfect because of the lens that is on them all the time. Any mistake they make will be all over the headlines. Honestly, I am surprised that Democrats have not jumped on the Chicago case yet, but I am sure it is only a matter of time. The GOP cannot afford any bad look right now, as the party is reeling in polling, and time is running out to get this righted before the 2026 election.
