Dems call out Trump for showing off Tesla’s at White House
This one was about as easy to predict as the sun coming up in the morning.
After Trump showcased a Tesla at the White House, Democrats are calling out Trump for pushing Tesla, which is kind of ironic, considering they want Americans in electric cars.
Defending Musk
Elon Musk has been getting hammered by Democrats and liberals over the last few months.
It’s actually been a bit longer, as the former golden child of liberals has been enemy number one since he flipped his allegiance to Donald Trump.
In recent weeks, Tesla owners and Elon Musk, as well as some Tesla dealerships, have come under attack by leftists now that Elon is firmly rooted in the Trump administration.
Trump warned them, "Let me tell you, you do it to Tesla, and you do it to any company, we're going to catch you, and ... you're going to go through hell."
Showcasing Tesla
As a show of support for Elon Musk, Trump decided to hold a presser outside the White House featuring a couple of Tesla cars and Elon Musk.
Trump fawned over the CyberTruck, stating, “As soon as I saw it, I said, ‘That is the coolest design.’”
Trump then pointed to the Model S, which was in red, and the president added, “The one I like is that one, and I want the same color.”
Trump’s social media staff also live-streamed the event. When the sitting president gave his endorsement to a specific product that just happened to be owned by his top adviser, Democrats went nuclear.
Corruption Allegations
I had no sooner seen the video of the press conference when I stated that Dems would probably draw up impeachment papers on the spot to go after Trump for what seems to be a clear ethics violation of his office.
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) took no time at all to call out Trump, stating, “Just because the corruption plays out in public doesn’t mean it’s not corruption.”
DNC Chair Ken Martin was right behind him, stating, "I’m sure all the people losing their retirement, jobs, and health care because of Trump are glad to see the White House turned into a car dealership for the richest man on the planet.”
This was just a bad move by Trump, regardless of his purpose. It was reminiscent of former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway telling people to buy from Ivanka’s line during the first administration, where she was given a warning for her comments. Trump and Musk are already taking heat from Democrats and the media for being two billionaires running the country, so you can just imagine what the hits will turn into with Trump promoting Elon’s business at the White House. This, my friends, is not going to be pretty.
