Noem confirmed ICE shooting will be internally investigated

The death of Renee Good at the hands of an ICE agent has given Democrats exactly what they wanted. After interfering with ICE operations, Good was shot and killed as she allegedly advanced her vehicle forward and hit the agent.

Democrats have described this as murder, and while Noem has blocked local officials from investigating the incident, she has announced that the shooting is under an internal investigation, following the usual protocols after an agent-involved shooting.

Gaslighting

At the front of the line gaslighting the American people over this shooting is Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who has been using this shooting to deflect away from the fraud running rampant in her community.

She stated, “The Trump administration has targeted and terrorized people of all immigration statuses, including US citizens, violating constitutional rights and court orders, destroying our existing immigration system and eroding all of our rights.”

She later quoted a local publication, stating, “Battalions of armed federal agents are moving through neighborhoods, transit hubs, malls and parking lots and staging near churches, mosques and schools. Strangers with guns have metastasized in spaces where daily life should be routine and safe. It feels like a military occupation.”

This is a sanctuary city and state, harboring illegal immigrants, ripe with fraud, but they are trying to make federal agents out to be the bad guys for doing their jobs.

It’s Working

Recent polling shows that the message is working, as 53% of registered voters agree that the shooting was unjustified.

That number is weighted heavily by Democrats, with a whopping 92% of Democrat voters siding with Omar’s view.

Only 10% of Republicans view the shooting as unjustified, and 59% of independent voters are siding with Democrats.

I guess that proves that if you say something loud enough and repeat it enough, most people will believe you.

It’s Being Investigated

Secretary Noem has confirmed that the shooting is being investigated, even though several left-leaning publications reported that DHS was not going to investigate the shooting.

Noem stated, “We are following the exact same investigative and review process that we always have under ICE and under the Department of Homeland Security and within the administration.

“The exact same policy that the Biden administration used, the exact same review, so we haven’t changed any of that.”

I can tell you exactly how this will go. The administration will rule this as a justified shooting, and Democrats will pitch a fit. Then, if Democrats take back the House during the midterm election, a hearing will be held that will find the agent’s actions were not justified, and they will try to bring charges against him at some point. It is as predictable as the sun coming up in the morning in the East.
