Swalwell caught in another lie

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) is a failed presidential candidate and a habitual liar.

His campaign was filled with lies, and he has continued to lie to the American people endlessly afterward, and he just got caught in a doozy about Trump.

It’s Trump’s Fault

As we all know, air travel is under considerable scrutiny as of late, with their being some horrific crashes and near misses over the last few years.

Swalwell looked to place all the blame for all these accidents solely at the feet of Donald Trump.

Swalwell posted on X, "No president has had more planes crash in their first month in office than Donald Trump.” The actual facts, however, tell a different story.

If you look at Department of Transportation data, there were actually more crashes during the first few weeks of Biden’s term. There were a total of 55 accidents in Biden’s first month, compared to 35 during Trump’s first month.

Peddling Lies

Lying to the American people is nothing new for Swalwell, who had told some whoppers during his time in office.

For instance, Swalwell lied about Biden’s plans to come after gun owners, stating, “Let’s be crystal clear—the Biden administration has no secret plan to take away your guns.” Technically, he was actually right because Biden was very public about his plans, stating that he was “the only one to have taken on the [gun] industry and won. I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again.”

Swalwell also once posted on X that Trump had been “convicted of sexual assault,” but that was also a lie. Trump was found liable in a civil case for battery and defamation. A judge went on a rant saying that Trump was guilty, but Trump was never found guilty of sexual assault by the jury, so there is another lie.

This is par for the course for Swalwell, and much like Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA), his lies have gone unpunished.

Off the Hook

Swalwell has gone before House Ethics Committee, but per usual, nothing ever happened to him. It was not for his lies but rather honeypot scandal where Swalwell was allegedly being romanced by a Chinese spy, Fang Fang.

She had infiltrated his campaign, and a complaint was filed against Swalwell, which was eventually dismissed without any disciplinary action being taken.

After the House Ethics Committee made its decision, Swalwell stated, “It’s time to move on. The bipartisan House Ethics Committee had this case for over two years. They had the power of subpoena. They received answers from me in response to requests for information. Today, they are closing this matter and did not make a finding of any wrongdoing.”

If you ever expect an ethics committee to do something, you are simply delusional. These are corrupt politicians investigating corrupt politicians, and not a single one of them is ready to bring down this house of cards. As I have stated before, if you want to fix this problem, remove this authority from the Senate and House, and appoint a special outside committee to review these cases, otherwise the corruption and lies will never end.
