Trump celebrates conservative party win in Germany, but…

On Sunday, the liberal party in Germany was dealt a crushing defeat, with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz conceding the race.

Donald Trump was quick to applaud the win by the conservative party, but it did not go as planned.

Big Win

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz officially conceded the race on Sunday, congratulating his opponent.

He stated, “This is a bitter election result for the Social Democratic Party, it is also an electoral defeat. Congratulations on the election result.”

Friedrich Merz, who is considered the antithesis of former conservative Chancellor Angela Merkel, will take over.

Even though it was the conservative party that won this election, don’t expect this to be all strawberries and whipped cream in terms of its relationship with the United States.

Congratulations!

Trump was ecstatic when the election results were announced, applauding a conservative in a country that has been a nightmare in terms of backing Trump policies since his first term.

Trump posted to Truth    Social, "LOOKS LIKE THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY IN GERMANY HAS WON THE VERY BIG AND HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ELECTION. MUCH LIKE THE USA, THE PEOPLE OF GERMANY GOT TIRED OF THE NO COMMON SENSE AGENDA, ESPECIALLY ON ENERGY AND IMMIGRATION, THAT HAS PREVAILED FOR SO MANY YEARS.

"THIS IS A GREAT DAY FOR GERMANY, AND FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF A GENTLEMAN NAMED DONALD J. TRUMP. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL — MANY MORE VICTORIES TO FOLLOW!!!"

Perhaps Trump should have reached out to Merz before posting that because Merz had nothing nice to say about Trump.

Independence

Merz made it clear that he wants Germany and the EU to get away from Trump as quickly as possible. He stated, "My absolute priority will be to strengthen Europe as quickly as possible so that, step by step, we can really achieve independence from the USA.”

Merz added, "I never thought I would have to say something like this on a television program. But after Donald Trump's statements last week at the latest, it is clear that the Americans, at least this part of the Americans, this administration, are largely indifferent to the fate of Europe."

So, give it to them. Cut the funds we sent to Germany right now to help them achieve their goal of independence from the United States. Something tells me that Merz sold voters a false bill of goods. I don’t criticize him for speaking against Trump but rather the United States, making it sound as if we are some horrible nation. Keep in mind, this is the country that brought us Hitler, and he dares to criticize us?

Our country has financed virtually the entire war effort of Ukraine, yet he says we are not worried about the fate of Europe. Russia would have swallowed up Ukraine within months had it not been for our help, so take your righteous attitude and well, I can’t really say what I want to say, but I am sure you guys get the idea.
